Our client a growing hospitality company in Downtown Toronto is currently searching for an Accounts Payable Administrator to be responsible for providing clerical support to the Accounting and Finance Department.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Check, verify and process invoices
  • Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
  • Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • Process purchase invoice and match to supplier’s invoice
  • Ensure suppliers are paid in a timely fashion
  • Ensure loan / advance deductions are taken on schedule
  • Prepare cheque runs and match to outstanding invoices
  • Prepare wire/ACH payments for signing officers
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Verify and ensure proper invoice coding, taxes and approvals
  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks as required
  • Liaise with inventory suppliers and internal trading department
  • Other duties as assigned by department supervisor

 

Highlighted Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in performing accounts payable functions
  • Proficient computer skills, Dynamics GP, MS Office suite of products
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
  • Exposure to Hospitality and restaurant industry would be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
