Our client is a premier real estate developer in Downtown Toronto, responsible for some of the most revered luxury condominiums in the city and across the GTA. Reporting to the CFO, and working closely alongside the President of the organization, the Director of Financial Reporting & Analysis will be the lead in overseeing internal/external reporting, MD&A, and strategic initiatives for the public arm of the business. You will work cross-functionally across the business and be a key leader of the finance division within their fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.


  • Oversees the preparation of annual and quarterly consolidated financial statements and MD&A in accordance with IFRS
  • Prepares and reviews analysis to support the MD&A sections of the quarterly and annual reports and the supplemental information
  • Coordinates the quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits with the external auditors, as well as manages the audit issues resolution process
  • Ensures the timely preparation of all financial information and presentations required for quarterly and annual reports, press releases, and Disclosure and Audit Committee and Board meetings
  • Establishes and updates financial reporting deadlines and manages the monthly financial consolidation process
  • Researches and interprets new accounting standards/guidelines to assess potential impacts on financial reporting activities
  • Modifies existing and designs new processes that maximize operational efficiency
  • Provides advice on internal control issues and recommends and implements reporting enhancements
  • Fulfills ad hoc information requests from investors, rating agencies, investment analysts and senior management


  • University degree with Finance/Accounting concentration and recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA)
  • Minimum 3-5 years progressive financial reporting and analysis experience
  • Experience within large public accounting firm and/or public real estate investment trusts highly preferred
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting policies
  • Proven leadership skills, executive presence, and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • High degree of flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands, desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
