Our client in Banking and Financial Services Industry is seeking a Senior Scrum Master for their Toronto location. This is a 6 months contract position.

This position reports to the Senior Director.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Ensure the establishment of an agile work environment for a project team.
  • Ensure the conduct of the ceremonies of an agile cadre as indicated in the scrum method.
  • Facilitate the improvement of the efficiency of the agile team.
  • Act as a “coach” and a professional reference in agile approaches and interventions.
  • Arrange management (business and IT) with the agile team to ensure a smooth, efficient and effective workflow.
  • Identify gaps and propose tangible and effective actions to fill the gaps.
  • Act as an agent of change for the project team and its stakeholders to bring stakeholders to adopt agile behaviors.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management or with a specialization in Information Technology, or related to the business sector, and 6 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree, in Information Technology Management, and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a Scrum Master in a software solution delivery context;
  • Knowledge of banking and finance
  • Knowledge of different banking sectors, desirable
  • Ability to structure and conduct multidisciplinary and multi-level stakeholder meetings, synthesize and communicate skills in non-technical language
  • Very good communication, influence and negotiation skills
  • Leadership and sense of initiative, ability to multitask on multiple projects in parallel
  • Team spirit
